Pass the Ocean, Hon!
A “Fly-In” at the Beach
Dance levels will be Mainstream through Challenge C3, with higher levels scheduled depending on demand. All dancing will be on carpeted surfaces. Our registration fees have not increased from PTOH 2015. A Discounted $105 Registration is offered for payments postmarked by Monday, February 16, 2015. You can download the Registration form as a PDF document: PTOH16RegistrationForm_Feb16date.pdf. At-the-door registration for the entire weekend will be $120.
Want to bring along your non-dancing partner? The "Dance Widow" fee is only $15, and entitles a person to all the PTOH events except Mainstream and higher dancing levels.  Specific items included are: snacks during each dance session, door prize raffle, Chinese auction, 50/50 raffle, and Open House dance hours.  We encourage dance widows to try one of the latter. Say your "Dance Widow" doesn't plan to visit or hang out at the Convention Center, then there's no obligation to pay the fee.
We are recommending the Atlantic Sands Hotel & Conference Center, our host hotel for the dancing and lodgings, located at 101 North Boardwalk in Rehoboth Beach.
In the block of rooms reserved for square dancers, rates start at $125 per night for standard rooms (single or double occupancy) for Friday & Saturday nights.  For triple occupancy, the rate is $140; for quad occupancy, it is $155. An applicable tax of 8% will be additional. Safe rental costs $1.50 per day. Check-in time begins at 4:00 pm. Guests arriving before 4:00 pm will be accommodated as rooms become available.
For early arrivals on Thursday and for stays over on Sunday night, there are some daily savings. The relative scaling is $105/$120/$135. However, there is a requirement for a 2 night minimum stay on weekends. Thus if you book for only Thursday/Friday, or Saturday/Sunday, you will be charged the full price rate for both nights.
The Chesapeake Squares block of rooms (Booking ID # 7905) will be held through Wednesday, March 9, 2016. After that time, remaining rooms will be released to the general public. The Sands has given us no assurance that the block rates will be honored after March 9th. However, if you call to reserve rooms after the cut-off, you could try by telling the staff that you are with Chesapeake Squares. With luck, they might honor our discounted block room rates if rooms are still available.
The Sands has asked us to advise guests that rooms are "Run of the House", meaning that reservations are guaranteed at the discounted rate only, and not for a specific room type (or specific room numbers). But the Sands will note a "request", and accommodate you as best as possible.
Smoking is prohibited in all areas of the hotel, including on the balconies. Violation of this policy by an overnight guest may result in a $200 penalty.
Make reservations by calling (toll-free) 1-800-422-0600. Remember to ask for the Chesapeake Squares' reserved block of rooms (Booking ID #7905). These special reservations can not be made on the Sands web site.
One complimentary parking space per room is provided in the Sands lot for overnight guests. If your lodgings for the weekend are elsewhere, be advised that you will need to find parking on the street. Spaces are scarce, and most easily found during the morning hours.
Check-out time is 11:00 am. The Sands does not guarantee a late check-out time. But, if on Sunday you advise the desk staff early of your request to check-out by 1:00 pm, you have a modest chance for success.
And lastly a word about the In-Room Safe Warranty Fee of $1.50 per day: if you decide to not use the room safe, so advise the desk clerk when checking out, and the fee will be removed from your bill.

The Atlantic Sands Hotel and Convention Center
directly on the Boardwalk in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
Callers will be Deborah Carroll-Jones, Hunter Keller, Ett McAtee,
and Dayle Hodge.

PTOH 2015 was the last at the current Rehoboth Beach Convention Center, which is scheduled to be used for temporary City offices and partially demolished starting the end of this year as part of the construction of a new City Hall.

We will miss the old place and cherish our years of happy memories.

We looking forward to our new venue located directly on the Boardwalk at 1 Baltimore Avenue in Rehoboth Beach, the Atlantic Sands Hotel & Conference Center.
