Pass the Ocean, Hon!
A “Fly-In” at the Beach

Dance levels will be Mainstream through Challenge C3, with higher levels scheduled depending on demand.  Because of increasing  costs, the low registration fees that we maintained for many years have had to be raised modestly for PTOH 2015. At-the-door registration will be $120.  Rates are discounted for earlier registrations.    Registrations made by Friday, January 9, 2015, are $95; registrations made by Friday, April 10, 2015, are $105.  Download the current registration form as a PDF document: PTOH15 RegistrationForm-3.pdf.

Want to bring along your non-dancing partner? The "Dance Widow" fee is only $15, and entitles a person to all the PTOH events except Mainstream and higher dancing levels.  Specific items included are: snacks during each dance session, Sunday brunch, door prize raffle, Chinese auction, 50/50 raffle, and Open House hours.  We encourage dance widows to try one of the latter.  Say your "Dance Widow" doesn't plan to visit or hang out at the Convention Center, then there's no obligation to pay the fee.

We are again recommending The Breakers Hotel & Suites, our host hotel, located conveniently right next to the dancing.  The daily rates for the standard rooms and the one bedroom suites for 2015 have not changed. They are the same as in 2014.

In the block of rooms reserved for square dancers, rates start at $99 per night for standard rooms (single or double occupancy) for Friday & Saturday nights.  One-bedroom suites for the same, start at $129. The rates for triple & quad occupancy are, respectively, $114/$129 for standard rooms, and $144/$159 for one bedroom suites.  An applicable tax of 8% will be additional.  Some pet friendly rooms are available at an extra charge.  Check-in time begins at 4:00 pm.

For early arrivals on Thursday and for stays over on Sunday night, there are daily savings of $20 to $30.  The same scaling is $79/$94/$109 for the standard rooms, and $99/$114/$129 for the one bedroom suites.  However, new for 2015 is a requirement for a 2 night minimum stay on weekends.  Thus if you book for only Thursday/Friday, or Saturday/Sunday, you will be charged the full rate for both nights.

The Chesapeake Squares block of rooms will be held thru Wednesday, April 1, 2015.  After that time, remaining rooms will be released to the general public.  However, if you call to reserve rooms after the cut-off, tell the staff that you are with Chesapeake Squares.  They may honor our discounted block room rates if rooms are still available.

The Breakers has asked us to advise guests that rooms are "Run of the House", meaning that reservations are guaranteed at the discounted rate only, and not for a specific room type (or specific room numbers). But the Breakers will note a "request", and accommodate you as best as possible.

Smoking is prohibited in all areas of the hotel, including on the balconies.

Make reservations by calling (toll-free) 1-800-441-8009. Remember to ask for the Chesapeake Squares' reserved block of rooms.  These reservations can not be made on their web site at this time.

Good news on Sunday check-out time for square dancers!  Instead of 11:00 am, it is again 1:30 pm. But you must advise the desk staff of your intent before 11:00 am that morning to insure that your room card keeps working past Noon.

And lastly a word about the In-Room Safe Warranty Fee of $1.50 per day:  if you decide to not use the room safe, so advise the desk clerk when checking out, and the fee will be removed from your bill.
